Store Cards in the U.S.—2017

Credit card outstandings tied to private label store cards reached $118.78 billion at year-end 2017, up 4.9% versus 2016. In comparison, outstandings tied to general purpose cards that operated on the Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express networks were $923.22 billion at year-end 2017, up 7.3% over the prior year.
