Thames Adds Metal Cards

UK-based card manufacturer Thames Technology has added the capability to produce metal cards using a $4.2-million (£3.5-million) investment from parent company Paragon ID. That company invested $2.3 million (£1.9 million) to buy a digital card printing press for Thames last year. Paragon ID purchased Thames Technology in 2019. The dual-interface, 14-gram Fusion Metal card is the first metal product available from the PCI-compliant Thames plant in Essex, England.
