Japan’s largest card issuer conducted a proof of concept of an EMV-compliant, dual-interface (contact/contactless) fingerprint biometric card in the fourth quarter of 2017 and will begin a pilot test later this month. The JCB Biometrics Card is manufactured by Idemia (formerly Oberthur/Morpho). Toppan Printing is handling the card personalization. The pilot involves JCB employees.
