Private label and general purpose credit, debit, and prepaid consumer and commercial payment card spending at U.S. gasoline stations increased 1.0% in 2013 to $357.75 billion. Payment cards accounted for 57.26% of $624.80 billion in total spending for motor fuels in the United States. The average price of a gallon of motor fuel declined 3.1% to $3.641 in 2013.
