Linux Foundation’s X402 Agentic Commerce Protocol

The largest US-based cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase, created an agentic commerce payment and trust protocol last year. Last month, the protocol, x402, was donated to the Linux Foundation, a global nonprofit organization that promotes collaboration on open source software, hardware, standards and data.
